"Although the level of adiponectin in the bloodstream increases and can lower the risk of type 2 diabetes and coronary heart disease, but whether the effect of fish oil on glucose metabolism and the development of type 2 diabetes remains unclear," said Wu.

Spanish researchers found that stress affects how the body metabolizes fat, which in turn increases the level of bad cholesterol. "The workers who stated that they had experienced difficulties in dealing with work during the previous 12 months (8.7 percent of the sample) had a higher risk of suffering from dyslipidemia," said Carlos Catalina, a clinical psychologist and expert, told the Daily Mail.
Dyslipidemia resulted in an increase in the amount of bad cholesterol and lowers good cholesterol. In particular, people who suffer from workplace stress more likely to have high levels of bad cholesterol, good cholesterol levels are too low and are more likely to develop deep vein thrombosis.

Adult children who are older and have parents addicted to alcohol or drugs have a higher risk of depression than children whose parents do not have the habit of drinking alcohol or illegal drugs.

A studies suggest that talking via cell phone can increase blood pressure.
Researchers from Guglielmo da Saliceto Hospital in Italy involving 94 men and women who have low to moderate blood pressure in this study.
Respondents were randomly assigned to receive a phone call from his cell phone. While sitting in a chair in a room, they were left chatting and checked his blood pressure.
The result, shown an increase in blood pressure from 121/77 to 129/82 during the talk with mobile phones.
But it only happens to someone who often chat via mobile phone more than 30 minutes each day.
Although still not sure why talking by mobile phone can make hypertension, chief researcher Dr. G. Crippa suspect it happens because of an unusual disorder that is received by a person through a phone call.
"Our respondents were mostly young men and women. Seems like they are not accustomed to be disturbed by calls via mobile phones," said the researcher, as quoted by The Daily News.
The results are then reported to the meeting of the American Society of Hypertension in San Francisco.
